La Seyne-sur-Mer shipyards were built in1856 with the purpose to release merchant vessels. The weighbridge open in 1917 would connect at that time the railway station to the shipyards. Listed in the supplementary inventory of The Historic Monuments since 1987, the shipyards’ bridge hosts now a panoramic viewpoint (40 m high) from where one can admire the most beautiful bay in Europe.
